This study explores the future of Christian education at STAKPN Sentani in the face of artificial intelligence (AI) as both a challenge and an opportunity. Using a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and participatory observation, this study examines the readiness of Christian Religious Education (CRE) students to utilize AI ethically, spiritually, and academically. Findings indicate that students neither exhibit euphoria nor fear toward AI, but rather perceive it as a tool that requires a value framework and theological reflection. They recognize AI's potential to accelerate learning access but remain critical of risks such as dehumanization and spiritual trivialization. An inflexible curriculum and lack of ethical guidelines pose structural challenges. This study concludes that AI must be guided by spiritual wisdom, not the other way around. PAK students are pointing the way toward a new direction in Christian education that dares to engage with the times, without losing the depth of faith and integrity of Gospel values in every step of digital learning.References
