Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendiskripsikan solidaritas masyarakat dalam pelaksanaan tradisi pesta ponan di desa Poto kabupaten Sumbawa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kulalitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teori Miles dan Huberman yaitu dengan teknik mereduksi data, display data dan verifikasi data. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa ada dua jenis solidaritas masyarakat dalam pelaksanaan tradisi pesta ponan di desa poto kabupaten Sumbawa yaitu solidaritas mekanik dan solidaritas organik.
