Abstract

Geometri merupakan salah satu topik dalam mata pelajaran matematika di SMP. Dalam geometri dibahas objek-objek geometri yang memerlukan keterampilan-keterampilan geometris. Ada lima keterampilan geometris yaitu keterampilan visual, keterampilan verbal, keterampilan logika, keterampilan menggambar, dan keterampilan terapan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas VIII SMP YPK Kotaraja Dalam. Subjek dipilih berdasarkan hasil tes gaya kognitif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat bagaimana profil keterampilan geometris siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah geometri tiga dimensi. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskritif kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan data melalui wawancar berbasis tugas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Profil keterampilan geometris siswa dengan gaya kognitif Field independent dalam menyelesaikan masalah geometri tiga dimensi sudah mampu melibatkan kelima keterampilan geometrinya. Sedangkan profil keterampilan geometris siswa dengan gaya kognitif Field dependent dalam menyelesaikan masalah geometri tiga dimensi belum secara sempurna mampu melibatkan kelima keterampilan geometrinya.
