PENGARUH LATIHAN PENGUATAN OTOT PUNGGUNG (BACK EXERCISE) UNTUK MENCEGAH NYERI PUNGGUNG (BACK PAIN) PADA DOSEN DAN KARYAWAN IKIP MATARAM

Abstract


Back pain is pain in the thoracic, lumbar, lumbosacral, or neck region. This pain varies greatly in sharpness and intensity. Back pain is caused by muscle strain or pressure on nerve roots. Back pain is usually felt as pain, tension, or stiffness in the back. Back pain does not cause death, but causes individuals who experience it to be unproductive so that it will cause a huge economic burden for individuals, families, communities, and the government. Stretching and strengthening of the back muscles is an alternative prevention and treatment for back pain in addition to medical treatment. The purpose of this study was to find out whether or not the influence of back muscle strengthening exercises to prevent back pain in the IKIP Mataram lecturers and employees. This study uses an experimental method, with the design of One Group Pretest-posttest Design, while sampling is based on inclusion and exclusion criteria that have been determined by the researcher. The method of data analysis using the T test (t-test).
