Abstract

Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan kajian terhadap porses pengolahan sampah Anorganik di Lembaga Generasi Bintang Sejahtera. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengolahan dan jenis-jenis pengolahan sampah plastik di Lembaga Generasi Bintang Sejahtera. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Proses pengolahan Sampah  Plastik di Lembaga Generasi Bintang Sejahtera ada dua proses yaitu penggilingan dan Pengepresan. Proses pengolahan sampah plastik secara penggilingan melakukan pemilahan (sortir), penggilingan sampah plastik yang sudah dipilah sesuai dengan jenisnya kemudian dilakukan tahap penggiling sampah plastik. sedangkan proses pengolahan dengan penggepres menggunakan mesin pres hidrolik dengan kapasitas 5 ton sampah plastik. Proses pengepresan tujuanya supaya mendapatkan hasil pemadatan sampah plastik sehingga volumenya berkurang dan beratnya tetap.
