Transformasi Pendidikan Dalam Mendorong Pertumbuhan Ekonomi di Era Digital

Andi Pranata

Abstract

The transformation of education in the digital era is an inevitable necessity in efforts to boost national economic growth. This study aims to analyze the relationship between digital-based education transformation and economic growth, as well as to identify key factors affecting the successful implementation of educational technology in Indonesia. The research employs mixed methods with a systematic literature review approach and secondary data analysis from BPS, Kemendikbudristek, and the World Bank for the period 2015–2025. Results indicate that educational digitalization is positively and significantly correlated with improvements in the Human Development Index (HDI) and GDP per capita. Every 10% increase in the digital literacy rate of the workforce contributes to GDP growth of 0.7–1.2%. Key obstacles identified include the digital divide in infrastructure, low digital competency among teachers, and limited education budgets in regional areas. The study recommends accelerating equitable educational digitalization programs, strengthening teacher training, and aligning curricula with Industry 4.0 needs.
