Abstrak

Digital transformation and the development of artificial intelligence (AI) are changing the competency needs of agricultural entrepreneurs. Within the framework of Human Capital 5.0, technology is positioned to enhance human capacity, making the readiness of human resources an important part of agricultural transformation. This study aims to analyze the readiness of young farmers in West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB) in facing digital transformation by reviewing farmer regeneration, education, technology use, the structure of smallholder farmers, and agricultural economic performance. This research employs a descriptive quantitative approach with secondary data analysis. Secondary data is obtained from the 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023). Analysis is conducted descriptively and uses Spearman correlation. The results indicate a moderately positive and statistically insignificant relationship between the proportion of young farmers and the RLS with technology use, with correlation coefficients of 0.503 and 0.406, respectively. Furthermore, the relationship between technology use and agricultural GDP per UTP has a correlation coefficient of 0.539, indicating a strong positive relationship, although it is not statistically significant. Meanwhile, the proportion of smallholder farmers has a very strong negative and significant relationship with agricultural GDP per UTP, with a correlation coefficient of -0.927.
