Salah satu media yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara mahasiswa adalah perekaman tugas vidio (video recording task). Video recording task adalah membuat rekaman tugas video bahasa Inggris berdasarkan setiap materi yang diajarkan dengan topik yang ditentukan. Misalnya, materi yang diajarkan tentang “Introduce Yourself”, maka setiap mahasiswa mengerjakan tugas memperkenalkan diri sendiri dalam bentuk rekaman video recording task. Penerapan video recording task dapat menarik perhatian mahasiswa untuk fokus memperhatikan materi yang disampaikan oleh dosen ketika proses belajar mengajar. Tujuan utamanya guna meningkatkan speaking skill bahasa Inggris mahasiswa PGSD melalui penerapan video recording task. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan Model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Penggunaan pendekatan berbasis tugas perekaman vidio dapat secara efektif membantu mahasiswa meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara mereka tidak hanya untuk ujian tetapi juga untuk kebutuhan kehidupan nyata dan masa depan mereka. Selain itu, mahasiswa mengungkapkan kesenangan dan persepsi positif mereka terhadap metode tersebut. Alhasil bahwa mahasiswa yang menerapkan video self-recording task dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Inggris mereka.References
