Implementing TED Talks in teaching English for Business

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur apakah TED talks berpengaruh positif terhadap pemahaman siswa dalam English for business pada siswa semester tujuh jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, FBMB UNDIKMA atau tidak. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dalam bentuk penelitian eksperimental dengan desain eksperimental kuasi. Populasi dalam penelitian merupakan siswa semester tujuh jurusan pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, FBMB UNDIKMA. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa pada populasi dengan menggunakan tekhnik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes esai. Data dianalisa menggunakan aplikasi SPSS 25 for Windows. Berdasarkan analisa data, ditemukan bahwa nilai rata-rata pada post-test lebih tinggi daripada nilai pada pre-test (67.92>79.30). hipotesis null (H0) pada penelitian ini ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dari penggunaan TED talks dalam pengajaran English for business.References
