Ocular trauma is a health problem that can cause visual impairment. This study aimed to analyze the association between place of residence and ocular trauma among patients at West Nusa Tenggara Provincial General Hospital from January 2024 to December 2025. An analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted using secondary data from medical records of 98 patients with ocular trauma. Analysis was performed using the chi-square test or Fisher’s exact test, with the number of analyzed cases varying across variables. The results showed a significant association between place of residence and time to hospital presentation after trauma (p = 0.022), but no significant association with trauma type (p = 0.740), trauma mechanism (p = 0.759), trauma etiology (p = 0.774), or post-traumatic visual acuity (p = 0.358). In conclusion, place of residence was associated with time to hospital presentation after trauma but was not associated with trauma type, mechanism, etiology, or post-traumatic visual acuity.References
