Character Education Transfusion of the Bubuksah and Gagang Aking Stories in Building Ecological Awareness and Simplicity of Modern Life

This study aims to analyze the character education values in the Bubuksah–Gagang Aking story and its relevance in building ecological awareness and simplicity of life in the present day. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through observations at Penataran Temple, Surowono Temple, and Selomangleng Cave, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through reduction, presentation, and concluding with triangulation of sources and techniques. The results show that the Bubuksah–Gagang Aking story contains values of religiosity, responsibility, self-control, environmental concern, tolerance, wisdom, and simplicity of life. These values are relevant to be implemented through local culture-based education to strengthen character, ecological awareness, and sustainable lifestyles.References
